About me
Phu Vu is a music educator, pianist, and producer originally from Saigon, Vietnam. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Saigon University and has extensive experience teaching and performing in a wide range of educational and professional settings, including public and international schools, higher education institutions, and the Vietnamese music industry. His work has included roles as a music teacher, collaborative pianist, and producer, along with appearances on national television programs such as Yan TV. He has also led numerous professional music workshops throughout Vietnam.
In 2018, Vu moved to the United States to pursue graduate studies in music education at Georgia State University. During his time there, he collaborated with the Johnny Mercer Foundation to develop a piano curriculum focused on early American popular music, and his research was published in Georgia Music News.
Vu has been featured as a guest performer and speaker on Atlanta Live (WATC TV), VSAM TV, and Yan TV (Vietnam). He previously taught at St. Peter Claver Regional Catholic School in Decatur, Georgia, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Music Education at Texas Tech University, where he serves as a graduate part-time instructor.
