About me
Dr. Tom Schneider has been a music educator and performer for over 50 years, teaching college courses on American Popular Music, History of Rock, and the Origins of the Blues, as well as instructing all levels of guitar and keyboard in group and private lessons. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and received his PhD. in Ethnomusicology from the University of Memphis, specializing in American Folk and Pop. Tom has recently published a songwriting textbook titled The Art of the Hook, and also a music theory textbook geared specifically for pop & rock titled Spinning Gold.
