Phu Vu, A native of Saigon, Vietnam, Phu Vu graduated from Saigon University, where he received his Bachelor of Music in May 2018. In Vietnam, Phu was a music teacher, collaborative pianist, and professional music producer. He worked professionally at various levels, from college, public school, private school, and international school to the Vietnam music entertainment industry. In addition, Phu performed on many TV shows and national events, as well as being the host of many professional music workshops in Vietnam. Some of the schools and entertainment companies he worked at were the College of Culture and Arts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Australia International School, ChuVanAn Middle School, MPU School of Music, and Yan TV.
In 2018, Phu came to the U.S. to earn his master's degree in music education at Georgia State University. Throughout his two years at Georgia State, Phu collaborated with the Johnny Mercer Foundation and created a new piano curriculum that focused on teaching piano skills in early American popular music, and his research was also published in Georgia Music News. In addition, he was also invited to perform with the Georgia State Panther Band at college football half-time shows and the Rose Parade in 2022. Phu received his master's degree in music education in May 2022 and was a music teacher and SmartLab facilitator at St. Peter Claver Regional Catholic School in Decatur, Georgia. In Atlanta, Phu was also a guest performer and guest speaker on Atlanta Live TV, WATC TV, and VSAM TV. Currently, Phu is a graduate-part-time instructor and Ph.D. student at Texas Tech University.
