About me
Dr. David Dockan is an assistant professor at Louisiana State University, specializing in popular music education, Orff Schulwerk, agency, and student belonging. He is an active clinician where he translates research into practice nationally and internationally. His research is published in Music Educators Journal, Bulletin of the Council for Research in Music Education, and Journal of General Music Education. Dockan serves as Southern Division Representative on the NAfME Innovations Council, is an editorial board member for The Orff Echo, and leads the Alliance for Active Music Making.
